The Miami Protective Skills Workshop is an exclusive four day training and networking opportunity designed to expand and refine the skills and mindset of the working protective professional. One of two biannual flagship training events, the Miami Protective Skills Workshop starts off on Day One with “from the ground up” advanced marksmanship training to establish and refine professional level firearms fundamentals in order to increase the survivability of the individual security professional.
Students on Day Two with the assistance of Jason Kelly from C2T2 Training are exposed to Contact and Control techniques that enable the individual agent to gain control of a subject in close quarters through superior positioning.
Day Three is facilitated by current and former State Dept protective contractors from Offshore Kinetics and Armatus Consulting. Students are trained on critical tasks such as advance procedures, arrivals and departures, client movement and motorcade operations.
In the afternoon students form teams to negotiate the “Shadow Course”,Co-developed by the late Shamir “Shadow” Bolivar, the “Shadow Course” is a finishing event that tests the individual’s full range of skills in a physically challenging, high stress, team oriented training environment.
Day Four is a culminating event with teams moving their assigned clients under the supervision of workshop trainers in South Beach Miami.
